Hi,

I'm still working on setting up a sick Speaker Surround System. Problem is the BLUETOOTH dongle I need to work doesn't work on my bae - Windows 7 PC. "Device driver software was not successfully installed" - it fails to download drivers for any bluetooth device.

The bluetooth dongle works instantly in the laptop with windows 10, but on the main PC with windows 7 it CAN connect to the device, but can't download the driver for it. The bluetooth used to have an exclamation point but doing a windows update fixed that, but still fails to find the necessary generic drivers. Manually updating drivers - can't find them. Lost what to do. It's gotta be a windows driver problem.

Any ideas?

Solution
Okay, well the drivers are supposed to be downloaded automatically from Microsoft via Windows Update, so plug it in and make sure Windows Update is enabled, or initiate it from the All Programs menu:

Start Orb >> All Programs >> Windows Update

Other than that I have no idea so I will no longer be monitoring this thread.

Good Luck.
