So I'm going to be installing the Asus Prime Z370-A tomorrow. I know that I should have a copy of windows on standby for a clean install and all that but what I don't know is will the PC boot up with the default bios? I know this sounds like a silly question but should I download the latest bios from the asus website ahead of time or can I boot into windows then go and download it after I install the new motherboard.

One more question;
As far as drivers and stuff goes, what drivers should I be uninstalling before I install my new hardware? I'm installing a new motherboard, a new CPU (i7 8700k) and ddr4 ram.

Thanks guys!

Solution
After you build the PC and turn it on it will boot into your bios. It will run whatever version of the bios was put on it at the factory. Probably one of the first bios available. There are risk in updating your bios as you can brick the motherboard. So only update the bios for a reason and no just because it is there.

As far as the drivers, your motherboard will come with a DVD or USB with the drivers. After you install windows, drop the DVD or USB in the PC and install the drivers. If you don't have a optical drive or your mobo did not come with a USB. Go here to get the drivers:

Oh so you don't have to actually update the bios? That's good to know.

Thanks for the help!
