I ordered a Dell 8930 with integrated graphics. Can i get 1920 x 1080 or even higher resolution from this with a comparable monitor

Solution

For Photos it won't make much difference. I would still get an integrated one just because it makes the system a little more responsive and does free up some ram.
Even a very basic one like a 1030...

He asked about HDMI.. you can NOT do 4K@60Hz via HDMI v1.4.

There are adapters but only some of them support 4K@60Hz:

Thanks Man, i appreciate your help. I'm going from a Dell 570 with Athlon 250 graphics, so I'm sure i have some learning to do.

So, i can actually use a high resolution monitor, it just basically takes away from my ram instead of using a dedicated graphics card? My computer has 16gb's of ram, with an i5 8400 processor, would this be sufficient? I actually had a man from Dell tell me that an integrated graphics card would not work for photos.

Even a very basic one like a 1030 gt would help. They aren't overly costly. This one is just under $100.
