Hello,

Will SEAGATE Barracuda 7200.14 ST1000DM003 3,5" - 1Tb work on MSI B360 Gaming Plus? It's not in the compatiubility list, so that's why I'm asking.

This drive has no windows installed, just games and data. I want use it as a storage in the future and trespass necessary files to the new drive.

Thanks,

Solution

Thanks for the fast answer!

BTW, if it has a Steam folder or other game folder you may be easily able to link to the new folder. I've done that many times.

i.e. reinstall Steam, then create a folder link that matches the path your Steam games are on.

UPlay and Blizzard are just slightly tricker.

ORIGIN was the worst, but I managed that fine by:
a) manually COPYING the entire game folder, then
b) forcing to verify the game, then
c) PAUSING, then
d) COPY game back over to replace folder (if it decided to delete the contents and start over)
e) DELETE the copied folder

Right. Steam games are easy to redesignate.

In the new Steam client, just tell it where that folder is.
Steam games location
In the steam client:
Steam
Settings
Downloads
Steam Library Folders
Add library folder
