Please help - disk usage 100% on chrome, edge and origin

First of all, I have tried the methods on internet, such as disabling superfetch and so on, however none of them worked. At this point I don't think mine is the same case as those on internet.

So about few weeks ago, I began to get American Megatrends screen instead of regular booting sequence. It gave a rather horrifying message, which is as follows:

WARNING! Please back up your data and replace hard disk drive
WARNING! Your HDD/SSD might crash at any moment.
Press F1 to Run SETUP

Now, after my initial brief research whilst panicking, this seemed like a something called SMART test notification. I was able to go into BIOS by pressing F1, then successfully booted from there. At first, I couldn't see any irregular symptom. As I am using ADATA M.2 SSD, I used the ADATA SSD Toolbox, which basically showed me that everything is fine. So, I got even more confused!

Then, after few days, few applications stopped working. To be more precise, upon starting certain applications, such as chrome, microsoft edge, and origin, my disk usage in task manager would suddenly reach 100%, and the applications would not work. Nevertheless, chrome works in incognito mode for some reason. I tried meddling with options on chrome, however unfortunately none of them worked out.

So, I am confused if this is due to hardware or software failure, and uncertain which area I need to look into it.

My desktop specs are as follows:

i5-8600k
ASUS ROG Strix Z370-H
G.Skill Ripjaws 8gb x 2
EVGA GTX1080
ADATA XPG SX8000 M.2 512GB
WD Blue 1TB

Thank you for reading.

Hello jtonicoa. The reason one diagnostic tools result is different from another is that each component manufacture has its own proprietary software for testing. Not all third party diagnostic software contain the attributes and thresholds required to give an accurate result for a particular device. Hope that answers your question.

Crystaldiskinfo reports everything to be in good status. However, HDtune reports that over 40% damaged sectors, so I guess this is a hardware failure. Though, I don't understand why some reported everything to be fine whilst some could detect numerous bad/damaged sectors. I will probably ask for AS or RMA, as I am quite sure it is still under warranty.

In addition, yes, any important data is already backed up.
