recently i bought a new HDD (which is faster than my old WD BLUE), with more storage space etc.

so now i want to move the system as is to the new HDD but without any chances of going wrong with some softwares that may not work, or failures of Windows..

basically the idea is to give the new HDD to the system and apps, and then use the old HDD for all the storage (movies and photos etc) and give to this old HDD more space by split the new HDD.

by that i get a Windows that will run on a faster HDD, and more space for storage. but how do I make this possible?

I know very little about Cloning, and I do want it to go with no problems or any kind of reinstalling Windows or apps.

does it possible?
how can I do it? what are the steps and software necessary for this process?

but my question is about the chances of getting the system damaged.

because, for example: if you are moving some software from its original folder to a new folder - there is a chance that this software won't work anymore.

so by cloning the system (and i didn't find any tutorial for this) and then extract/rewrite it on the new HDD there is a chance for failure?

after the cloning.. what is need to be done? just delete the old original windows ?

As I said, when cloning, files, system and partitions are just copied to new disk without changing original in any way even if cloning doesn't succeed for some reason so it's quite safe.
Some measures you can take before starting cloning process, run system checks and disk check to make sure all is right. Most cloning SW will warn you if there are any discrepancies between old and new.
After cone process, go into BIOS and change BOOT order to newly cloned disk. If everything goes right you can reformat old disk and use it for whatever you want.
