I was trying to install windows xp on my old laptop but rufus didnt want to make a bootable usb for me.
I surfed around a bit.
Found Something called WIN SETUP FROM USB
I used it and it was useful but soon windows xp started to feel choppier than windows 7.
So i tried to go back to windows 7 with the same usb using rufus but it didnt format.
If i delete files from the usb it again pops up next time i plug it into my laptop.
I just tried changing name ; It was the same, Name was set back to winsetup.
I tried it in another pc
Tried formating
Tried diskpart's clean and attribute clear read only
none worked
My usb drive is a HP 16 GB USB 2.0
