Bought more ram and system doesn't post with XMP enabled

I purchased another 8gb Corsair Vengance 2666mhz stick and it doesn't post with it enabled. I've manually gone through the clock speeds and the highest it will post at is 2300mhz. Wondering if anyone can kindly help me here.

Specs:

i5 8600k (5ghz)
16gb Corsair Vengeance DDR4 2666mhz
MSI 2370 Gaming Plus
GTX 950

i would try updating your bios and making sure both ram kits are the same timing and speed

Memory is guaranteed in the form sold. There are no guarantees that using identical modules sold as singles will work together or how they will work if the PC boots up.

Workarounds for getting extra memory to work include:
Lower memory clock
Relax DRAM timings
Increase DRAM voltage

XMP settings are also for memory in the form it is sold and not for combinations that you happen to come up with.

I already tried updating the bios, didn't help.

How much should I increase the voltage by? I don't want to fry my parts.

Try running your processor at normal specs then run memory.
