I am looking at a nearly full SSD on my son's laptop and finding it confusing as all the folders add up to around 50gb and i can't seem to find the other 60gb anywhere. Probably being a total idiot but brain seems to have ceased to function.

Secondly, he has a totally clear HDD so what would be the best way to transfer all files except the OP and games to the HDD, can i just drag and drop?

TIA

Solution
Yes you can drag and drop....but make sure they are only data files like pictures, sound files, etc....not applications etc...and make sure they are not files that the applications on the boot drive use.

as far as the size issue goes....folders don't generally add up to the "total" for various reasons....but 60gb is a lot.

I would download one of the many free drive space utilities that allow you to view your drives on a chart.
