Hi I was worried I have already bought the motherboard and the ram for my newest amd Ryzen 5 2600 X build. Pinnacle Ridge cpu support. The Motherboard: GA-AB350M-DS3H Mini Atx mother board. the ram I have bought is called Ballistix Sport LT 8GB Kit (4GBx2) DDR4 2666 MT/s. I look on the support memory list just to make sure.. It appeared that the ram I've bought isnt on the list. so does that mean the ram doesnt support it? or can mobo can only support by speed instead of brand name? anything helps thanks!

Solution
No, it means mobo maker has not tested the specific model of memory on their chip. 2666 is a relative common speed now, and mobo uefi has gone through a year of revisions. They are very stable for 2666 now, you shouldn’t worry about the ram not working on your board.

Solution
Most ram issue with amd boards happens at 3000 MHz +, for AMD anything higher than 2666 is considered memory overclocking. because ryzen cpu is somewhat more depended on ram speed, so people are trying to get the fastest ram possible, however that has created lots of problem during the initial product launch. Mem support been much better now.
