Current setup:

RAM 4x4 Corsair Vengeance PRO 16GB DDR3 2133MHz

GPU EVGA GTX 960 4GB

PSU Corsair CX600 W

Hello again,

So I decided that I will get the Intel Core i5-8400 @ 2.80GHz (originally AMD Phenom 2 965 BE) as my new cpu. Now can someone point me in the right direction as to what motherboard to get?
I insist on using the DDR3 memory.

Your outta luck. 8th Gen intel are DDR 4 Only!

It's a decent CPU. Really good gamer. You need to look at these :https://pcpartpicker.com/list/zJ8BZR

You can look at a new GPU down the line. It's okay for the moment at 1080p, although not maxed out 60hz/FPS. A 1070/1080 or equivalent Vega, would have you rocking along and maybe a new monitor to show it off.
