Bad performance with Ryzen 5 1600 + GTX 960

So I just installed some upgrades in my budget pc, a ryzen 5 1600, b350 tomahawk, gtx 960 + hyperx fury ddr4 (2133mhz). But the performance is worse that my last build, which had a pentium g3250 and an r7 260x so I should be seeing massive performance increase?
I installed the nvidia geforce experience + amd chipset drivers, is there something I'm missing?
Running windows 10 btw.

Tested in Smite, couldn't even run maxium, medium still has bad fps and looks way worse than medium.

Temps are fine?
Did you uninstall old card drivers(DDU is good for this)? Then install the latest for the 960.

I'm leaning towards the ram to be the issue. You gimped your system cheaping out on it.
Ryzen works best with at least 3000mhz, and with 2 sticks, not one(assuming, you're also running with one).

I made sure to get two sticks. Would I be able to overclock it?

But it was a fresh windows install so I didn't have to uninstall old drivers. Will check the temps now!

Okay, I ordered 3000mhz ram, hopefully that'll make a difference!
Cpu temps are fine btw.

Sure, but you meant overclocking the 2133 you currently have to 3000+? Uhh, don't do that, you'll fry something.
If it hasn't been too long, I'd return the ram if possible, and then get 3000mhz or higher, if the board supports it - 3000 should be widely supported.

Sure thing.

But when I mentioned drivers, I was referring to the old drivers for your R7. They can cause conflicts with your 1060's drivers if not completely removed.

I see. Would a partition wipe and fresh install not clear those?
