I'm using a Tp-link (TL-WR840N) router. When i'm connecting the internet cable to my laptop directly i get a download speed of about 10mbps whereas when i'm connecting the same lan cable to my router and using it on my laptop and use the same or other file to download i get 5mbps!!! Please help? Fix for this problem!!

Not sure about your post.

"Wifi Low Speed" is described but your post is describing wired connections.

Be sure that only one network adapter (wired or wireless) is enabled on your laptop.

And that that adapter is configured to communicate with the router accordingly. Either wired or wireless.

If wired is the current configuration then do try another known working (at speed) Ethernet cable.
