i5-4670K @ 4.00 Ghz

Hey everybody,
I just tried to overclock my i5-4670k for the first time and wanted to check with you guys to see if everything is fine.
It´s now running at 4.00Ghz with a voltage of 1.152. Idle temps are around 44-48°C which seems a little high, or is it still fine?

My specs are:
- ASUS Z87-K
- Alpenföhn Brocken 2 for cooling
- Corsair 460X case
- ASUS GeForce GTX 1070 Strix OC

Idle temps are fine. Have you run any stress tests? Aida64
How are your temperatures under load or when gaming?

Haven´t run any stress tests yet.
I just played half an hour of PUBG and the temperatues went up to 75°C average, maxing at 83°C according to HWMonitor

Hi Coopeeryotobe,

Your Idle Temps seems a bit High for me, I would expect high 30's maximum at Idle.
Is your voltage constant? or does it fluctuate with the load?

Looks stable. Min and Max are both 1.152 V..
I thought it was a little high as well, especially when browsing with ~10 Tabs open in Chrome temps go up to 55-65°C already.

Min and Max are both 1.152 V

That's why your Idle temp is so high. You have a fixed voltage.
Now that it's stable occording to you, you can enable every power saving feature to let frequency and voltage go down at idle.

Are you talking about features activated in the BIOS? what are commom names for those options?^^
