Can i remove my Laptop HDD and install windows on it on Desktop and Put it back to laptop

Hi my laptop bulit in keyboard is broken i use extrnal usb keyboard and doesn't recognize at boot screen to install windows can i remove laptop hdd and put it on a desktop pc as main hdd and install windows and put it back to my laptop?

You could do that. Do not perform any windows updates or load any drivers before moving the drive back.. Then install the chipset drivers and all other drivers from the manufacturer's website, followed by windows updates.
