Need help with OCing on a Maximus Apex IX board with i7 7700k and Trident Z 4266Ram

I been reading thru some other threads but couldnt get anything concrete, would like to know from those who utilize these three components what they set exactly to achieve at least 4.7Ghz OC on the I7 7700k, get the 4266mhz from the ram or close to it.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Alexandrious1,

We can't give you magic numbers for your system...
Every build, chip, memory etc is different so voltages and frequency reachable are also different.

You have to increment voltage and frequency until you've reach what you want.
There are a lot of guide here and there.

tips: stay below 1.38V and 85°C on stress test for daily usage.

I am aware of that, but their are those with this exact build, and im sure one of em did something similar to what I am trying to reach.

So, if you really want some "magic", try 47 on multiplier and 1.35V of Vcore using fixed voltage and try to pass multiple realbench.
If it passes some loops, lower the voltage (-0.025/-0.05) until it's not stable
About the RAM, I really can't tell you, I don't know your kit, the frequency that is rated for or timing...

Im fine if CPU reaches 4.7GHZ, even 4.6GHZ is enough for me, I know of OCers who took it as far as 5.1GHZ, 5 mostly. But I am totally ok with 4.6 or 4.7. What I really need is to take the TridentZ Ram and get it as close to 4266 as possible. The board was pretty much made for OCing that particular kit. Even go the Memory cooler for it. Ill have to update the Bios on the board as well since it seems theirs an update that gives it better functionality. Ill need to figure it out, never updated a Asus board like this before, seems I have to download the bios, use a renaming tool the asus site provides, put it on a USB, shut down the computer but keep it connected to power, plug the USB into a certain USB port in the back and hold down a particular button for 3 seconds, it will then pull the bios update and utilize it. So I got that to worry bout too.
