FX-6300 still viable in 2018 ?

i have been using this CPU from a long time and it has served me well all this time. My current rig is :
FX-6300
GTX 1050 ti
12 GB DDR3 ram @1600 Mhz
Gigabyte GA78-L8LMT-usb 3 Mobo
Corsair 650 watt PSU

I have used this CPU with a lot of other components in the past including an HD 6770 , 6950 and so on. i have been able to play every game on it on high or more settings without any lag. Battlefield 1 , GTA V , NFS payback , wwe 2k18 etc. But now when i started playing the Assassins creed - origins , i get small HICKUPS while playing . The FPS drop to below 30 sometimes for milliseconds and thats it . I use Riva tuner statics server in the background and saw that the CPU was under heavy load , sometimes getting to 100% and thats when the hickups occur. The CPU load is never under 80. Not that the game is unplayable but due to the occasional hiccups the game isn't entirely enjoyable.
So my Q to you folks is this : Has the FX-6300 become obsolete or it is just due to the annoying triple layer protection by UBISOFT thats doing this. Google is full of this heavy CPU load on AC-origins.
I was planning to upgrade my rig but as you can see means changing the entire rig except the GPU, which will be a pain in the neck . I was getting a good deal on an FX -8320 . Should i get it or wait and gather the guts( and the $$) to change my RIg.
What are your thoughts ?

Ubisoft is saying the minimum AMD CPU is the FX-6350. Your FX-6300 is just a bit slower, which could be why you're running into issues. They also say, however, that the FX-8350 is a recommended CPU. Since your GPU isn't holding you back (minimum GTX 660, recommended GTX 760 or better; your 1050TI is a step above the 760, https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gpu-hierarchy,4388.html), it's most likely the CPU.

Normally, at this stage I wouldn't recommend getting a better FX processor, because the platform is now well past its prime. However...there are a couple of things in your favor. First, one of the full-power 4C/8T FX...
Well, the FX-8320 won't really give you much of a boost in games, so that wouldn't be a wise upgrade. While it is true that the 6300 is getting a bit long in the tooth, it isn't completely obsolete yet. My advice is to ride it out until you can build a new system. Even the lowest end Ryzen will be leaps and bounds ahead of the 6300. If AC Origins is the only thing that you are having problems with, then you are in good shape. That game's DRM is an unmitigated disaster. All that 8320 is really going to do for you is bring CPU utilization down. I don't expect that you would see any performance increase on AC Origins. Unless you are experiencing stutter on more than just one title your current system will be fine for a while longer.

TL : DR wait to upgrade to something better.

I have had ,my eyes on the Ryzen 5 - 1400 but the problem is i need to replace everything for this upgrade - RAMs , Mobo etc. What do you exactly mean by " 8320 is really going to do for you is bring CPU utilization down. I don't expect that you would see any performance increase on AC Origins" . Is the game DRM really that bad or the 8320 isnt enough ?
I was thinking of the 8320 bcoz i think most Ubisoft games will come with this protection or greater and i play a lot of Ubisoft games and playing ACO made me realize the 6300 isnt going to be enough for the upcoming Ubisoft titles.
So will the 8320 be enough for the upcoming titles including ACO , just until i have time and $$ for the ryzen upgrade ?

Save your money for a Zen+ Ryzen build. You'll be throwing your money away upgrading to the FX8320.

The issue I'm talking about with the 8320 is all about core utilization. Sure you add 2 cores, but AC Origins probably won't take advantage of that. You will have more CPU, but at the same time you'll be using the same amount of CPU to run the game due to how they coded it, leaving the extra CPU resources idle.

My recommendation remains the same, drive that 6300 as long as you can and upgrade as soon as economically feasible. Getting the 8320 might give you a little more performance in the short run, but will ultimately be wasted money as it doesn't get you any closer to the platform upgrade that will actually give you a reasonable return. You want to be on the Ryzen platform as soon as you can, which is about $250 minimum for a Ryzen 2200G, mobo, and 8 GB of 2666 RAM. A new 8320 is over half that price... and that 2200G is near 50% faster than the 8320.

So, that is the basis behind what I said. I hope it helps.

Normally, at this stage I wouldn't recommend getting a better FX processor, because the platform is now well past its prime. However...there are a couple of things in your favor. First, one of the full-power 4C/8T FX CPUs, as noted above, would bring you up to the recommended rig for AC: O. Second, getting the FX-8350/8370 (or even the 8320) would move you from a 4th-tier CPU to a 2nd-tier CPU (https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/cpu-hierarchy,4312.html), & generally you want to move up at least 2 tiers when looking for a CPU upgrade. Third, your motherboard supports the 125W FX CPUs (https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/GA-78LMT-USB3-rev-41#support-cpu), so you should be able to drop one in without any problems or BIOS updates. Finally, it's a much cheaper upgrade than having to switch to Intel or Ryzen -- the 8350/8370 will run you maybe $110-130 USD, the 8320 maybe $105 (https://pcpartpicker.com/products/cpu/#s=23&sort=price&page=1&C=6,22).
