my laptop's gpu temperature is averaging 72C on idle and while gaming 80C max .
i have a dual gpu and the one which is giving this heat is my built-in intel gpu 620 , as for my dedicated gpu , its temp doesnt go up beyond 65C while gaming and 45C on idle , yes i used a dust blower to figure out if there was dust in there and the laptop is new (bought it 4 months ago) so i think the thermal paste should be good?.
my CPU temp is 65C on idle 75C while gaming
i am using a 5-fan cooler so its really confusing to me , how is it even possible? the built-in fan works and i can hear it (it doesn't make alot of noise either , almost silent)

here are the specs:

core i7-7500U
geforce 920MX
intel 620 graphics card
RAMs 8GB
i monitor my temperature using GPU-Z and core temp , the idle GPU usage sits around 1% what seems to be the issue?
(quick update) i restored defaults in my BIOS settings and my temperature goes to around 50C , note that i let the laptop rest for about 5 mins beforehand , it does spike back to 72C every 10 seconds but otherwise everything is normal , CPU temp is at 40C right now but does almost the same as gpu

Solution
You've got 2 potential problems here. One is that the system is reporting temps incorrectly. The other is that there is something causing a serious bottleneck in your cooling system. The former you probably can't fix, but the good news is that it is less likely. The latter is probably your case.

If you consider yourself savvy enough you can open the case, check the fan(s), check how well seated the heatsink is on the chips, and if you are comfortable with it, replace the thermal paste with a higher quality solution. You'd be surprised on some laptops how poorly the thermal paste is applied. I replaced the paste on my laptop and saw a 8 degree drop, mostly due to poor paste application. Results may vary.

ok , this is gonna sound like this was a troll or something but now as i idle the temp returned to 45C and no spikes occur , like wtf tho , i think the reading is broken or something , ill send it to the support to get it checked out , really appreciate the helpful comments (i think i messed up something in BIOS and the system got back to normal after the default setting?) i'll check with them and if i know the type of this issue ill try and drop that here

No problem. That is crazy that it might be possibility number 1.
