hello, my computer specs are:
RX 480 4GB (MSI GAMING X)
MOTHERBOARD ASROCK B150M-HDS
I5 6500
8GB RAM CRUCIAL BALLISITX
PSU COUGAR STE 500W 80PLUS

I have been with this problems for a while. I remember I could play battlefield 1 ultra settings 1080p with more than 60 FPS, now it doesn´t reach 30 some times, most games have a lot of stuttering, and some times it turns off. today I tried to run a benchmark (kombustor) and as soon as I started it the screen turned black.
I think it is the PSU, anyway, I am not sure, please help me, thanks.

Well you need to give you and us a better insight to your hardware, first off download monitoring software like HWmonitor and aida64
monitor temps and power delivered in your PC, if temps reach critical zones(depends on the hardware but anything above 90C is suspicious) then it could mean thermal issues.
monitor GPU and CPU frequencies, are they stable? do they drop significantly? then it could be a power supply issue or the chip itself

then you can understand what part is causing the issue

I runned Aida 64 for a few minutes (only stressing processor), the computer didn't turn off and the temperatures were ok. I couldn't stress the GPU because the screen turns black, at least with kombustor.
I already sent the PSU to the warranty (before reading your answer), I hope that solves the problem, if not I will try with HWmonitor and see if the frequencies are stable.

i have bought another PSU (EVGA 600W 80P) and the problem remains consistant. i,ve discovered that if i turned gpu clocks down the system would not turn off, and i also noticed that i have significant gpu usage drops.

yes, i know but when you put a 2400mhz ram into a 2133mhz chipset frequency automatically swithches to 2133mhz and it is not easy to find a 2133mhz RAM here in Uruguay.

CPU frequencies are stable but GPU frequencies goes up and down all the time, i tried underclocking it and to undervolt it too but it didn't make any change.
