i have Gigabyte 970a-D3 Am3+ and Cpu fx 6300 if i want to update my GPU from HD6670 to RX 460 i must update the MB bios or NOT??? my current Bios date was 2012/03/30!!!

That is a UEFI bios so you shouldn't have much of a issue unless your running in Legacy mode which most likely your not. You really should keep your bios updated though.

The OP's BIOS version is old, the newest one is from 2016. Just try the new card and see if it works, if it doesn't then update the BIOS.

the last Bios in my MB list was F13b 1.04 MB 2013/12/16
1-Beta BIOS
2-Update CPU AGESA code there is no any 2016 in the list !!!

thanks bro i will unstall the old one and adding the new one if it didn't work i will change the bios but it just 1 year between my version and the latest one hahahhaha i will try thanks for all if some one have agood way to update the bios is a safe way i will be happy my MB GA-970a-D3 am3+ Thankssssssssss
