Mounting Case Fans on #6-32 Sized Holes

I have a Phanteks Enthoo Evolv ITX case which supports 2x 140mm at the front of the case, so I bought 2x Phanteks 140mm closed chassis fans to mount there. However when trying to install them I noticed that the mounting holes on the case are sized #6-32 which is much smaller than the standard self tapping fan screws that came with the fans. There's not a whole lot of extra metal around the holes so drilling them out to fit the fan screws may not be feasible. I am considering buying #6-32 screws with nuts and using them to mount the fans instead. However since the sleeve for the screw on the chassis of the fan is wider than this I am worried I may have vibration issues. Any suggestions on how to solve this problem would be appreciated.

Solution
One option would be to use a lockwasher, then a washer under the 6-32 screw heads. I really doubt it will come loose if you do this. You could also use locktite on the threads...but I don't think you will need to.

Another option would be what called a stripper bolt...also known as a shoulder bolt/screw....if you can find the right diameter shoulder. They come in 6-32.

Another option would be to sleeve the 6-32 with a small tube.

...but I really don't think you will need to if you go with a lockwasher and washer.

I don't really understand where the nut comes into play though.

Ahh yes, it seems like the nut would be completely unnecessary. It appears like the easiest solution would be to try the lock washer and washer like you suggested. Thank you for the advice.
