Upgrading from a Sapphire R9 380 Nitro 4GB

I need some suggestions for a graphics card upgrade, it will be some time in the future as I don't have the money to do it right away. I am going to be doing an overhaul of my PC and upgrading to a Ryzen 5 1600 with either 8 or 16 GB of ram. I was wondering, what would be a good upgrade, would it be smarter to stick with AMD and get say a 570 or should I switch over to NVIDA with a 1070?

Well there's quite the performance difference between the 570 and 1070, when do you plan on doing these upgrades? If it's going to be at least a few months you may want to ask again later on around two weeks prior to upgrading as part recommendations can change.

I was planning on doing the upgrade by the end of the year, however with the current prices of GPU's would it just be better to take a super long term look?
