Hey! I'm in the process of making my first gaming build. I'm going to be using this pc for purely gaming. If you could please let me know how this build will run (what fps, quality, etc.) because I have no frame of reference. I don't know if this build will be running games at max quality or if it will shit the bed (probably the former). Also, are there any components that I should upgrade? Please let me know!

*Also, if there is a different sub I should be posting this in, please advice me to such. I have never been on this forum before*

Here is the current build:

Intel i5 8600k (6 x 4.6Ghz Overclock: Liquid Cooler)

16GB 2666Mhz Dual Channel (2x8GB) DDR4

Nvidia GTX 1070 8GB (1920 CUDA Cores: VR Ready: Ansel: G-Sync: GameStream: DX12)

WD Blue 250GB (550MB/s Read: 525MB/s Write)

1TB 3.5" (7200PRM)

Drive 24x DVD Burner

Regular - Mid Tower
(Side Window: Dust Filters: White LED Fans: 1 x USB3.0 / 1 x USB2.0 / Headset
Mic Front IO)

Windows 10 Home 64Bit

Thanks for your response.

The case is Z3 Led (I think that's right?), the monitor is 144hz, I'm unsure about PSU and motherboard as of right now but I can get back to you!

I can't give you the exact model. The local place I am buying from does not have a brand listed and when I contacted them, they just said they have a variety in store.

OC meaning overclocking, correct? If so, how should I go about overclocking it?

Thanks, I've removed the DVD drive and got a 500gb instead of the 250.

Now that we pretty much have the build finished. Do you have any idea how well this would run? My main games are Fortnite, Rainbow 6, Csgo and fps games alike; will this system run these games without any lag at near-max quality? That's sort of my expectation at this price point.

Also, are there any upgrades (around 200$) that you would recommend? If there is a drastic upgrade for around that price, I would be willing to spend the money.

Thank you very much. I'm very uneducated with building computers so this is all new to me.

For those games, it should do very well.

Usually, for $200 more you could pick up a 1080. If that is possible, go for it. If not, go for the 8700k if you want the option to stream and game at the same time.
