The actual benefits of x470 motherboards for Ryzen 7, 2700x?

Hey guys, I just bought Ryzen 7 2700x and I need a mobo. Now, I might need to wait some time for x470 to be on sale here, so I was thinking to buy x370 instead, but I heard x470 works much better with Ryzen 7 2nd gen.

Could someone tell me the benefits of waiting for x470, or could I just get x370 instead?

Thanks!

The main benefit is that the motherboard will support the 2700X out of the box and you won't have to worry about if a BIOS update is needed to run the 2700x if you got a x370. If the x370 board was sent to you without the latest BIOS the 2700x may not work at all and put you in a sad position. Other than that the performance differences are minimal. If you already bought a 2700X and don't own an AM4 board I would definitely get a X470 motherboard. Or if you don't want to wait get an X370 and make sure they have the BIOS updated on the board.
