transfer files from old smartphone?

i FINALLY found my old samsung galaxy proclaim smartphone...
it turns on, but the screen is 90% of the way broken. is there anyway i can get my pictures off this phone? i tried connecting it to my pc via usb but the phone is not found. anything else i can do or am i pretty much screwed. thanks :D

I believe that you need to have your USB debugging turned on in order to access the storage on the phone itself although on several models of phones you just have to unlock your lock screen and there will be some kind of a pop-up on your notification tray from there you can chose the USB as a charging device only, and 'media transfer' thingy (not sure what it's called, i'm really sorry). If you can't access either ways that I wrote above you may want to get a repair for your display screen or sadly say good bye to your old pictures.
