I am having a recurring issue with my PC randomly hard stuttering or "hanging" for about 1 second every so often while using my PC (most often while gaming). The best way I can describe it is that with no regularity, my screen will first stutter (as if slowing down) and then freeze for about a second, then return to normal. Sound continues as normal, but user input and video output are both frozen for that moment. I am running an i7 Kabylake (stock clocks), 32GB or DDR4 RAM, a GTX 1080 ti and a Samsung Evo SSD. Has anyone encountered something like this before? Is it possible that my SSD is starting to fail? The best I can do to see what may be triggering this event is when something in game activates requiring it to draw new resources or when I'm doing something in a program that is drawing new resources.
