Need new cooler

So my PC is getting overly hot and I think my current cooling system has died, my temps used to be fine but now i'm hitting 75ºC after 5mins on running a high-ish end game.

Currently have a Corsair h55 I think.

Should I just replace it or change to something different? Something for around £80 or less

Some of my specs are: AMD FX 9370 - 8 CPU 4.4Ghz, 16g Memory, AMD R9 200 Series Card

Case is NZXT Phantom 410

What has changed since all was well?

FX-9350 is an exceptionally hot processor, and the H55 is not a particularly strong cooler.
I would suspect your results are nominal if it were not for doing better before.

One possibility is that the cooler has developed some sort of blockage over time.

What is your case?
Is the radiator mounted to draw in outside cooling air or from inside.
Any cooler needs a source of fresh air to do it's job.

If you have 160mm available in your case, and good airflow, a noctua NH-D15s is about as good as it gets. About $85.
I would normally not spend a dime more on upgrading a FX pc, but a great cooler can be easily moved to a new build in the future.

The Cryorig H7 should bring temps. down.

You may just need to remove the cooler, clean off and reapply compound and reinstall.

All specs. are important. Is that an FX 8350? Which case? It may be too small for the H7.

H80 V2 is under $100.

What about upgrade? That is an old system. Which CPU next? Will this new cooler be compatible?

First up the CPU cooler. Here NZXT claim support for up to 170mm. Installing inside Phantom 410 is the Noctua NH-U12P which measures 158mm in height. As you can see from the picture below we are left with very little clearance and the side panels are not convex.

CPU Heatsink Support: 170 mm (This is from the carton, not the website. As best I can measure it, there is 175mm from the motherboard to the inside edge of a metal panel. A clear window would take a little away from that, so a 170 mm clearance is appropriate.)

The 410 is 8.46" wide. From experience , a case needs to be 7.87" or wider to accept a 160mm(popular was the 160mm 212 Evo) heatsink. Preferably it needs to be a full 8" wide. At nearly 8.5" wide the 170mm limit is the one I accept.

In short Geofelt's suggestion will easily fit.

I personally like to stay away from AIO coolers as they have a higher chance of failing due to a larger number of components (pump, leakage etc). Do your self a favour and get a quality air cooler like the people before me have suggested-your case "supposedly" has 170mm clearance for cpu coolers so quite a few choices available.
