Hi-

My computer is 2012, has only one Pci slot that currently has a AMD Firepro V5900. My monitors dont support dvi, so I am unsure how to connect my third monitor. I am not a gamer, so just looking for a cost effective solution that will handle the 3 monitors at the 2k resolution.

Any advice?

Thanks,

N.

Solution
You can get a 8 pin to 6+2 pin so you don't have any cable left over.
About the ports you can use the Display ports and the Vga port for all three monitors.

Your graphics card has 2 HDMI ports so you can connect them and the VGA port on your motherboard io.
You just have to have 2 monitors which support HDMI but that shouldn't be a problem because most of the new ones support HDMI.

Hi, the graphics card supports 2xdp, 1xdvi.

I replaced with a 1060, probably overkill. My real problem now is power. The 1060 requires 8 pins power. The cable with the card has an 8 pin to 6 pin. My power source (https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817153136) also has 8 pin sockets. The nvidia cable (which is so small its unusable to reach the card anyway), has 2x6, with an 8-pin. Can i just get an 8 pin to 8 pin?

Confused.

Thank you.
