I usually play games on adaptive but recently noticed that neither adaptive nor optimal mode works. My GTX 1060 6gb always performs as if prefer maximum performance is enabled thus it works at full clocks when playing games. I did full reinstall with DDU but it didn't help. Any idea how to fix this?

As far as I know Adaptive uses whatever clocks it thinks the game requires. So it's likely fully clocked because the game your running requires it. Either that or a new set of drivers has it working differently. I would revert back to a driver that you remember worked how you wanted.
