[SOLVED] Computer Fan Misreporting RPM

Hi my motherboard keeps occasionally misreporting my fan speed making it say it's going like 17000 rpm is this ok or is my mb broken?

Is it really running at that speed at those times ? Fans are regulated by temperature of part(s) they are cooling.

Their no fans that run 17,000 RPM's for a PC. If everything is working fine then just a sensor problem I would not stress over it.

It's just the one fan that does it it I'm not sure why it's a corsair high airflow 1400 rpm fan
