I've built my new PC just a few days ago and I'm having a weird issue with my wifi.
Everything works perfectly, but when I start playing Sea of Thieves - after 20 - 40 mins of game time my ping goes to 300-600 ms.

I've tried speedtest.net on my PC at that time and it shows 200-400 but on my phone it's 5-10 ms. After I turn off the game it goes back to normal. Then I start the game again - play for around 30 mins and off it goes again.

I've installed the latest drivers and bios.
Antenna is connected properly.
I haven't tried other games as I don't have any installed atm.

My next steps will be:
- testing the performance in other games
- reinstalling Sea of Thieves

I have no idea how to troubleshoot this more.

Apparently wifi card on my motherboard supports 802.11ac which should support speeds up to 1300Mbps. Unfortunately the router the ISP provided is pretty old.

What I did was set "Wireless Mode" inside my wifi card properties to IEEE 802.11b/g. The speed of the wifi is now 52Mbps which is more than enough because I currently live on the outskirts of the city and max speed I'm getting from my ISP is little above 30Mbps.
