I am looking forward to upgrade my CPU since my 960 bottlenecks my AMD A8-5500 APU.
I saw some people saying that I should upgrade to an i5-4460 or to an i5-8400, but I am not sure.

I want to run Overwatch on Ultra with arround 60-100 FPS and maybe PUBG at medium or low settings with 60+ fps.

Here are my specs: (sorry if they are too advanced, I just wanna be sure since im new to pcs.)

Prebuilt PC M11BB
Processor AMD A8-5500 APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics
Video Card NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960
Dedicated Memory 2.0 GB
Total Memory 6.0 GB
Motherboard F2A55-M
RAM 8 GB

I hope thats enough. If you wanna know more, please let me know. Thank you!

The best solution is the i5 8400 which was proclaimed the year processor and the winning I7 past generation in the games but you also need a new motherboard but worth it, pull out the max from that graphic and it was ready and quiet for future upgrades this I5 mark and 1070 gtx to the limit! I bought it for my gtx 1060 6 gb MSI gaming and work perfectly! Before this card I had 960 2 gb and it's a great graphics believe me still just needs a good processor to keep up with the example 1060 3 gb, trust me know what I'm talking about I have them and now i see how small the advantage is 1060 over 960, I just repeat a good processor and overcloking with a 960 program OC GURU that gives results, with it I have stable 60 fps BF1 on some maps...

Well to upgrade to an i5 4460 you would need a new motherboard, to upgrade to an i5 8400 you would need a new motherboard and DDR4 RAM. So what is your budget for a cpu upgrade?

The i5 8400 is the better choice regardless of your GPU, however that wont be a cheap upgrade. A i5 4460 would likely get the most out of a 960 in pretty much any game, but the i5 8400 is a much better CPU and will stay relevant much longer than an i5 4460. So should you upgrade your GPU in the future, the i5 8400 would likely be sufficient to get the most out of it, an i5 4460 likely wont.

Sorry, my definition of "thaaat pricey" might be $1000 but yours might be $500. You really need to help us out. A prebuilt machine may require a new OS license even. Without some help from you people will be just "shouting" random PC configs. Your power supply, case size even your monitor are relevant to parts choices.
