BIOS update required?

Hi, I've got the Z170X-Soc Force motherboard, with my i7 7700k on the way. I was wondering if I did need to get a skylake processor to update the bios to work with the Kaby Lake processor.

As seen on this uk.partpicker link, theres a warning when these two computer components are together.

Just wondering if this was the case with this motherboard and CPU type. Thanks.

The 7700K has been out long enough that it will most likely be OK. There is always a possibility, but the minimum BIOS required is over a year old so it is unlikely to REQUIRE a BIOS update to boot. It is always advised to do an update before installing your OS just to get the latest bug fixes.

Will do, recently found out that 'GIGABYTE UEFI DualBIOS™ with Q-Flash Plus USB port' so if it doesn't support the i7 7700k then I can easily update it without the need of another CPU type, which could be the case if I were to buy the i7 8700k which was I was originally going to buy for this system build.
