Gigabyte B250M-gaming 3 motherboard ram slots

Is there a specific way you should insert 2 ram sticks in this motherboard because it has 4 slots but 2 are red and the other 2 are black i am trying to install a corsair vengence lpx 8gb the same as the one already installed on my computer

Yes, there is and that information is found in the downloadable motherboard manual.

Modules purchased as singles are intended to be used as singles. Since they have never been tested together, there is no guarantee that they will work together or how they will work if the PC boots up.

I managed to install it but to be safe i installed it on the same color it was as the other ram stick and it seems to be working fine
