Could someone possibly explain pcie lanes sharing to me please in the easiest terms ha
I have a crosshair vi hero motherboard
Ryzen 1700 cpu
Msi 1080
Samsung EVO 960 m.2 NVMe
Samsung SSD
And a Kingston ssd
Basically i have a spare m.2 ssd (SATA), and would like to know if I could use that with an adapter to give me another ssd drive for storage etc
I’m not in need of the extra storage space but may aswell use it if I’ve got it.
But the last thing I wish to do is lower the performance on my gpu by doing this?
I understand it could drop it down to 8lanes from 16?
Any help would be great
