So I am building my first PC, and I pretty much spared no expense. I know how to physically install everything, I am just confused as to how to install windows etc. So any help would be greatly appreciated. I have no real in depth of things such as the BIOS of the MB etc, which I know isn't a good thing. I am also not sure if this is the right forum to post this so if it isn't please point me in the right direction. My parts list: CPU : i7-8700k CPU Cooler: Kraken X72 Motherboard: Z370 AORUS Gaming 7 Memory: Corsair Vengeance RGB 16GB DDR4-3200 Storage: Samsung 960 EVO 500 GB M.2-2280 SSD Video Card: EVGA - GTX 1080 8GB FTW Hybrid Case; Corsair Crystal 570X White PSU: Corsair RMx 750 OS: Windows 10 Pro 64 Bit Wireless Card: ASUS PCE-AC88 Fans: Corsair LL120RGB (6 Total Fans) Fan Controller: Corsair Commander Pro RGB Strips: Corsair RGB CL-9011109-WW Lighting Node Pro
My biggest question and concern is loading windows onto the Samsung SSD. I am not familiar with this type of storage as well as M.2. So any help doing this is greatly appreciated! I have a 64GB 3.0 USB flash drive, which I read is to be used to load windows onto? The terminology has me all overwhelmed with everything so please help! Thanks!!!

Do you have a windows purchased? Was it a DVD copy or flash drive copy? If you don’t have the actual install media, you will need to create one using media creation tool from a working pc before installation.

Then once you have done that, boot into bios and change your boot priority to usb drive. Then restart, that should take you to windows installation, you just follow the step and install windows on your ssd.

Might as well download the motherboard and gpu drivers as well. Start with chipset then do the others, all once you’re set up on the Windows desktop.

You bought an overclocking setup but might want to read up on that first. If the mobo has a feature called multicore enhancement, that would auto turbo all cores to 4.7ghz - that’s the easy button.

You will want to go into BIOS and set the XMP profile to get the correct RAM speed.
