Hi everyone!
Yesterday i replaced my old thermal paste with CM Master Gel Pro. The thing is i forgot to plugin the cooler and then proceeded with playing game. After the system warned me about overheating (CPU reached 92-96*C) I fixed it and now i just got a new problem. While playing game (absolutely fine yesterday) and now the PC shut down itself and the CPU fan noise becomes excessively loud. What caused the problem and how to fix it?
P/s: Does the thin/thick layer of thermal paste affect the cpu cooling? Maybe i have put in too much paste

Solution
You want to use as thin a layer as possible, metal on metal has the best thermal conductivity, the paste is just to fill spaces not directly contacting the surfaces.

Thank you! I just checked the thermal and it's way too thick. Hope this time it will be fine. Thank again ^^
