275GB SATA III SSD vs 128GB M.2 SSD?

So I bought a 275GB SATA SSD with intentions to upgrade existing laptop. After hearing great things about the new 8th Gen 8750H chip I'm leaning towards just buying one of the two below. If I buy the M.2 I don't think I can use SATA SSD so I'd purchase the the one with the 128GB SATA and then just upgrade to the 275. I've read the performance is better with the M.2's but not sure how this would compare to the bigger storage SATA. Not for gaming but lot's of photoshop/video editing and tons of Chrome & Firefox tabs. Figure I could use the 128GB in my old laptop once I move my files over but performance in the new one is my main priority. Appreciate any feedback on which route would be best. Thanks!

The Newegg links don't work. You likely wouldn't notice much performance difference. 275GB is far more useful for your needs. After installing your OS and apps. That 128GB model would be mostly used up. Once you factor in actual formatted capacity and leaving at least 15% free. Since SSD take a big hit when too full. You'll only have around 90GB usable space.

For your uses. 275GB is at the low end of where you want to be.
