i have 16GB of ram and a 6GB gpu with 2GB page file on the NVME. i have 10.1GB of ram used, 6GB of GPU memory used, and page file usage at 18.2GB according to MSI after burner. i dont get this is the page file on MSI totaling available memory or??? i am asking because i have a game that keeps crashing and it seems to crash when Vram is maxed out. it was made more stable when i turned my page file back on but still not 100%, i dont have much space on my NVME as its only a 256 so i dont want to run any page file at all if i can avoid it but it seems i cant avoid it?

trying to diagnose this issue

What MSI afterburner shows as page file usage, actually is Committed memory value from task manager.
To get correct values for page file usage, you have to use Performance Monitor.

Set page file 1GB initial, 4GB max. You can't turn pagefile off completely, it messes up virtual memory subsystem.
With 16GB of ram, pagefile will be used minimally. It just needs to exist.

i havent used a page file since 2007, i turned it back on today to see if it was causing hte crash from being off but it seems it isnt. that said if its telling me 18gb is comitted out of 16+2 then it seems i need to buy a 2nd 16gb stick soon... get up to 32 since 16 is obviously not enough
