Gentlemen/ Ladies,
I have a old laptop that I would like to upgarde the RAM memory, but a little confused, I will truly appreciate if anyone can gives me some clarification,
My old laptop is Sony VGN-AR770:
original OS: Vista Ultimate 32 bits, now Windows 7 Pro 64 bits
Intel core2duo 2.6 Ghz
RAM 4GB DDR2 PC2-5300 333MHz
(sony staff told me it 's max out at 4GB @ 32bits, but won't tell me the max @64 bits OS)
I know I would have to stick with DDR2, but what about the rest of the requirement? Such as ..do I have to stick with :
-PC2-5300? Can I go for PC2-6400 Or PC3-8500 ?
-333MHz ? Can I go for higher MHz ?
-Is that true, @ 64 bits OS, my laptop memory shoud be max at 8 GB?
