Can't overclock cpu

Hi, I need some help on overclocking my CPU. Here's my spec.

R5 1400
MSI b350m pro-vdh
8gb corsair's 2666mhz ram
Asus Gtx 1050ti
120gb Galax add
Corsair's cx650m PSU

I am a newbie to pc, after watching some guides I finally started to try overclocking. With the bios updated,I tried to overclock my CPU but it fails all the time. I tried from 3.3ghz to 3.7 GHz and none of them works,voltage set to auto and 1.35v,doesn't work too. But I'm able to overclock my ram to 2800mhz tho. Is there anything I did wrong that caused this problem?

Well overclocking is a lottery. But first imo do this - go to 1.3V and +200mhz Cpu clock. If it is stable go for another +100mhz and when it crashes bump the voltage to 1.325V and so on. Also use Ryzen Master. And to answer your question - If u have SAVED the changes and nothing happens idk. It should give u message to reboot if u made those huge changes
