So someone just gave me four old computers. One of them is a Netfinity 5000 server desktop. It has everything in it. I want to use the case. And build my own PC using it. Does anyone know what motherboard could fit inside it? I want it to be windows 7. I would like to keep the fans and the power box with it.

Solution

The Corsair Obsidian 800D has four hot swap bays.
You could get any case with external 5.25" bays, like the Phanteks PH-ES614PTG_BK and get the hot swap bays like this one

That uses a proprietary IBM Netfinity 5000 System Board for servers and it does not support Windows 7.
It does support Windows Server OSes.

I don't need all the server functions of the PC. I just wanted to know what windows 7 motherboard will fit inside it. And supports hot swaps as well. I can replace the power box also. I will install a windows 7 motherboard. than put a hard drive that has windows 7 on it. I wanna use it as a personal desktop. But I can kinda see you point

None. That case uses a proprietary motherboard. Standard form factor motherboards (ATX, mATX, Mini-ATX, etc) are not supported. Unless you make holes on the motherboard plate to fit a standard motherboard and build and solder an I/O back panel holder to the back of the case.

Yup now I see. Well surprisingly I am willing and capable of doing what you say. But I think it wold be hard to find a motherboard that wold work with the (Some) fans pre built into it. And the motherboard wold have to be compatible with hot swap hard drives. Right? And also work with the power supply that it comes with. But I can change that out to fit the motherboards needs... I think. Wow this is confusing! I guess some cases aren't willing to be modified. Like this one. If you think I should just try a different case then let me know. But I do like this case because of the many fans and the built in hot spaw thats with it.
