Advice for new single solution, coming from Lime unRAID and JBOD

Currently, have a Lime unRAID server with five drives, totaling about 10 Tb for movies and TV shows. I'm running Plex in a container on this server. It isn't the fastest, but it works fine for watching movies at home. This is not backed up, since it is a RAID, but I've have to replace drives at a rate of about once per year.

I also have a ORICO 9548U3 enclosure attached to my desktop computer via USB3. It has 4 hard drives totaling about 8Tb for home movies, pictures, and music. I rely on the speed of this direct connection for looking at photos and playing music. This is backed up to Crashplan (cloud-based backup). The ORICO 9548U3 is now failing with a lot of random dismounts.

I'd like to get something new, and I'm trying to decide:

1. New enclosure for the four drives
2. NAS for the four drives
3. NAS to replace everything
4. Something else

I would appreciate feedback on experiences or a migration path that makes sense.

I'm looking at the Synology NAS devices, and they look really robust and feature-rich. In fact, the array of choices is almost overwhelming.

Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

I have a Qnap TS-453A. Similar to the Synology offerings, but I liked this one better.
4 x 4TB drives, RAID 5. The RAID 5 may go away soon, and just have a single JBOD volume.

Along with that, a 4 bay MediaSonic box, connected to the NAS via USB. That is for the backup drives. Currently, an 8TB and 3 x 3TB.

The NAS holds backups of the house systems, and all of the movies, music, and other shared data.
PC's back up to the NAS nightly, NAS box backed up to the USB enclosure drives weekly.
