I think the cryptocalypse is over, but I literally don't have a GPU right now. Goal 1440p Ultra. I mainly play Battlefield and Total Warhammer 2. I just can't sit and watch the NVIDIA website for a founders at MSRP so I have to do the next best thing. Right now I'm on an APU and it's killing me. I should have kept my old rig, but I needed the money for parts.

Using apu until I get a GPU.

Ouch, HST.

Got any friends out in AB? <$700 card if bought here

Considering the MSRPs and the increased memory prices though.... $449+$20 US is >$600 CAD+Tax.
So, even if we miraculously drop back to near MSRP anytime soon, it's still going to cost you $700 w/HST ..... I'd suspect that to be a minimum price for the forseeable.

I think the likelihood of a 1070TI selling for ~$550 CAD is going to be extremely slim.

For 1440p/Ultra, a 1070TI would be a great option..... might fall short of Ultra on some titles though, just an FYI.

USD MSRP was $449 (+$20-$30 now with increased memory cost). So MSRP would be $450-$500 USD.
We're +30-40% vs USD in Canada, depending on the day, so the revised "MSRP" (if it ever truly gets that low) is likely to be in the $650-$700 CAD range.

While it's not a perfect price @ $680 CAD..... I don't think we'll end up seeing prices much lower, even if/when we do see GPU supply/demand return to 'normal'.

If i'm not wrong the 1080 as launched as $600 with translates roughly to CAD $770...
The 1070Ti is not as good as the 1080 but is quite... So IMHO the prices is okayish... They problably won't go down in the near future as well...

For 1440p 60fps it's a decent choice so if it's worth or not it's up to you OP.

The MSRP for a 1080 was ~$600, but I believe it was revised once the 1070TI launched @ $449 given there wasn't a huge difference in performance (and the TI's weren't OC'd from the factory).

BUT, almost all cards need to be viewed with a +$20 USD increase to their initial MSRP's now with increased memory cost since launch.

I know that the Gigyabyte 1080 Windforce or G1(rebrand?) released at $499.
