External hard drive crash, missing or corrupted

please some should help me, i was working with my hard drive perfectly well and i left the computer , before i came back my computer have gone to sleep when i put it on i could not find my hard drive in my computer and in disk management, i have changed data cable and it showed up in both my computer and disk management but with out a bar and its all greyed out, i checked the properties and it showing the capacity to be 0 byes. i have tried every possible solution i read online can someone please help. i have about 300 gig worth of back up and i cant afford to loose it

its a samsung 320gig hard drive, i have tried it in another unit, i even got a new SATA and still it did not work
 
Hello jay098. If the device is detected in the device manager the best thing you can try now is the DYI (Do It Yourself) software. There is a free trial version as well with a FAQ on how it works that will require reading. Now, if you do not want to do it yourself we do have an In-Lab recovery service .

Another alternative is to take it to a computer store to have it revised and diagnosed. Best of luck.
