what would be a good benchmark tool to use benchmark Cpu Gaming

wobndering what a good benchmark would be as i am tryin to increase performance in a game that is bound by the cpu. guild wars 2 is very cpu intensive and i want to try overclocking a few things as i think some performace in the paticuler game i play since its so cpu bound i think could possably benifit from XMP memory profile @3200 tighter timmings or overclocked to 3466mhz.

my signature is correct i7 8700k although i dont have it overclocked yet, as i am wondering about what software should i use for testing the performance impact of my overclocks

Cinebench can be useful as can prime95 for temp testing.

i know about prime and its not so much computer performance im intersted in but actually looking for FPS iv tried using fraps but is often hard to get a accurate result will have to look into cinabench

Cinebench gives you a score for rendering a image. Score obviously increases with a higher overclock. Otherwise in game benchmarks or something would work to.

Why,are you looking for fractions of FPS or something?
Intel Extreme Tuning Utility is cool for testing since it changes stuff in real time and you can even use profiles so it overclocks only on the software you want it to.

the cinebench looks great was also wondering about heaven benchmark tool i also have civ6 i will try using there built in tool as well
