How does this PC build look?

Hey guys, deciding to build a PC after a few years without one.

Going to purchase parts one at a time over the course of a few months, just to make it a little easier on me financially. I came up with a build that I would like a few opinions on. My main goal is to be able to run games at 1440p/60fps.

A few of the parts (operating system & case), I will be able to get for cheaper than they are priced at on Newegg. A friend of mine has Windows 10, and the NZXT case with AmazonPrime is $119.99.

I left out the motherboard because honestly I am not sure the difference between an $80-$200, and would like to not overspend if possible.

I also left out the GPU because I am unsure of which one suits my goal best. I plan on buying the card last, because the new releases will be coming out soon and I hope to find one at a lower cost. If someone wouldn't mind suggesting a strong GPU, that would be very helpful.

Would like to hear any suggestions you guys may have!

It is not a bad build. The differences in motherboards really come down to overclocking. A better motherboard will overclock the CPU better. I would look at a mid range motherboard as there is not a big difference between mid range and high end. I also chose a different cooler, I am not a big fan of the 212 EVO and if you want a 5ghz overclock, the 212 probably wont get you there.

As far as GPU, we don't know when a new GPU will be released. Rumors are this summer, but GPU prices are crazy high right now due to mining. When the next GPUs are released, they are going to be really expensive and hard to find. So if GPUs are released in the summer it may be winter till you can get your hands on one at a reasonable price. But if...

Also, you don't need a 750 watt PSU for that rig. The EVGA G3 is a good PSU, but this Seasonic Focus Gold PSU is just as good and is a good bit cheaper.
