Is it safe/okay to overclock a prebuilt PC's GPU?

(Yes, I know this has been asked before but that was from 2011 and things have changed since then)

I recently got this new HP 580-023w about a month ago for around $550, and it has some really good specs for gaming, but I wanted to know if it was safe to overclock the GPU and fan speeds/power (I am aware that I won't be able to overclock the CPU). I don't want to risk trying and breaking something, as I treat this PC like my little wittle baby.

Here are my specs:

CPU: Intel Core i5-7400 @ 3.00GHZ

GPU: nVida GTX 1060 3GB

STORAGE: 1TB HDD

RAM: 8GB DDR4

I do not suggest you overclock any component in that computer, the power supply is inadequate.

You can purchase a good power supply, install it and you will be able to overclock safely. At the present a good GPU will cost you around $75 U.S.

If you decide to purchase a power supply, measure your old one, width, depth and height. All standard power supplies will work, if your computer case has the room. Here are some power supplies to look at. jonnyGURU.com provides the best power supply reviews, so, get one suggested by him.
