Hi,

I have had this problem for a few weeks now. About a month ago, I started getting ads on my Google searches as well as spam leaking into my inbox. (Evidence: https://imgur.com/a/rCdNPHe)

It's gotten incredibly annoying now. I get hundreds of spam mails every day that I have to go through and delete because Gmail doesn't filter them out.

A month ago, I asked how to fix this problem. I was told to use uBlock Origin and Ghostery, and that worked until about two weeks ago when everything returned back to "normal" and I got ads on my Google searches again.

As for the spam in my Gmail folder, how do I stop that from happening? I tried deleting it, marking as spam, muting it, ignoring it. Nothing works, there's still hundreds of spam leaking through each day.
I can't switch to another email as this is my main email I check daily.

How do I fix these two problems?

Solution
This is happening because your email is out in the wild and the spammers are always working on finding ways of by-passing blockers. You can mark the sender as spam to block email adresses but they will just use random generated accounts. If you get hundreds a day I would create a new email address and be careful about who you give it out to.
