So i am currently looking for a new CPU and Motherboard as currently I am running on a CPU bottleneck on every game;
I am in the U.S

My PC Specs Are as Follows:

CPU: AMD FX 4-Core Black Edition FX-4300

Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA‑78LMT‑USB3

RAM: 8GB DDR3 Unbranded Ram

HDD: Desktop HDD 1TB

PSU: 500w ATX Power Supply

Monitor: Acer GN246HL Bbid 24-Inch (144Hz Refresh Rate)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I currently have a budget of around 150$-300 for a CPU AND Motherboard, I am willing to buy used and was looking at an i7 3960x, but the motherboards were too much to go into my budget, please reply with some suggestions, going used is an option as stated previously and you can help me out!

Both these builds are about the same in performance. Either will be 70% more CPU power then what you have. Also when your motherboard changes you may need a new Windows license. You also MUST get DDR4 memory.

I recommend getting a new PSU and a quality one. You need at least 400W-450W to run the full system and you should give your self some headroom. Room to grow and the PSU will last longer. With budget systems I'd recommend a nice at least bronze rated power supply.

Full build including a decent PSU and a new case (always nice to have a new look).
